The President of Turkmenistan met with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea

On September 15, 2026, as part of his state visit to the Republic of Korea, the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea Han Seongsook.

Warmly welcoming the distinguished guest, the Head of Government of the Republic of Korea noted that the current visit of the Turkmen leader opens a new page in the history of interstate relations. At the same time, it was emphasized that the high-level talks held with President Lee Jae Myung will provide a powerful impetus to bringing Turkmen-Korean cooperation to a qualitatively new level.

Expressing gratitude for the hospitality extended, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov cordially congratulated Han Seongsook on her appointment as the Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea and wished her great success in this very responsible post.

At present, effective bilateral cooperation is being carried out in various areas, the President of Turkmenistan said, expressing confidence that the outcomes of the current state visit will contribute to further strengthening of the partnership between the two countries.

Turkmenistan views the Republic of Korea not only as a reliable economic partner but also as an important technological and innovative partner, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov said, inviting Prime Minister Han Seongsook to visit Turkmenistan at any convenient time.

Thanking the President for the invitation, the Head of Government of the Republic of Korea noted the significance of the proposals voiced by the Head of State.

At the conclusion of the meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Prime Minister Han Seongsook expressed confidence in the further effective development of Turkmen-Korean cooperation, wishing each other success in their responsible endeavors, and peace and prosperity to the peoples of two countries.
