The Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Kazakhstan continues to familiarize Turkmen students with important political events in Turkmenistan in 2026.

On March 18, 2026, a round table discussion on the topic "35th Anniversary of Independence of Turkmenistan: Independent, Permanently Neutral Turkmenistan – the Homeland of purposeful heavenly horses" was held at the Eurasian National University named after L.N.Gumilyov in Astana.

The event was attended by the university's management, faculty, and Turkmen and foreign students studying at the university.

The roundtable discussed the main areas of Turkmenistan's foreign policy and the measures being implemented within the framework of youth policy. Participants also noted that the long-standing diplomatic relations between the two countries have enabled them to transform into a deep strategic partnership, implemented across the political, economic, and sociocultural spheres.

In their speeches, Turkmen students confirmed that they will represent Turkmenistan with dignity, strengthen friendship between peoples, and contribute to the development of international academic cooperation.

The students also noted that Turkmenistan's achievements since independence are based on the great reforms initiated by the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the wise and far-sighted policies of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov. In this regard, the Turkmen students assured that they are reliable representatives of Turkmenistan and are ready to continue to enhance its international prestige.

International students studying at the university also delivered speeches. They, in turn, noted that connections between young people and cooperation in education are an important bridge that brings the future of our countries closer together.

At the conclusion of the roundtable, participants noted that modern Turkmen-Kazakh relations have developed in an exceptional atmosphere of trust and good-neighborliness over the years of independence, and that a solid foundation for strategic partnership was laid thanks to the wise policies and close dialogue between the top leadership of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Kazakhstan.
