The opening ceremony of a branch of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care was held in Avaza
On December 9, 2025, the opening ceremony of a branch of the Charity Fund for Providing Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was held in the Avaza National Tourist Zone. This event was a visible confirmation of Turkmenistan's unwavering commitment to high humanistic principles and concern for the well-being of the younger generation.
The opening of the Foundation's branch in the Avaza National Tourist Zone is of great significance. Today, this region, renowned for its healing climate and developed infrastructure, has become not only a resort area but also a children's health and rehabilitation center.
The new branch of the Foundation will serve as a coordinating center for charitable and cultural events, as well as medical consultations for children.
Participants in the ceremony included leaders and members of foreign delegations participating in the International Conference "The Role of Women in Modern Society: Developing International Cooperation to Achieve the Sustainable Development Goals," as well as representatives of public organizations and science in our country.
Oguljahan Atabayeva, the Vice President for Medical Activities of the Charity Fund for Providing Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, spoke at the ceremony and emphasized the significance of this historic event — the opening of the Charity Fund's branch.
As noted, this fully demonstrates that child care is a priority of our country's state policy and that caring for all children, not only in Turkmenistan but throughout the world, is the focus of the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Hero Arkadag, as well as the President of Turkmenistan.
Speaking about the Fund's expanding international humanitarian work, Vice President Oguljahan Atabayeva emphasized that hundreds of children in Turkey, Ukraine, Russia, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan have received assistance, and the shipment of relevant cargo to these countries demonstrates the ongoing expansion of the Fund's work.
Oguljahan Atabayeva expressed her firm confidence that this will be a fitting tribute to Turkmenistan's 30th anniversary of neutrality during the International Year of Peace and Trust. It was emphasized that peace and trust are the foundation of our state's humanism and foreign policy.
In conclusion, Oguljahan Atabayeva wished continued success to the state endeavors of Hero Arkadag, who has implemented large-scale initiatives to develop charity in the country, and Hero Arkadagly Serdar, who successfully continues these noble traditions in the new historical era.
To the sounds of the National Anthem of Turkmenistan, the national flag is raised high.
The Charity Fund for Providing Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov then raised its flag to the sounds of its anthem.
A children's dance group from the Jahan Creative Center performed next.
The Fund's Vice President for Medical Activities, Oguljahan Atabayeva, then ceremoniously opened the facility, cutting the symbolic ribbon to thunderous applause from the audience.
Ceremony participants were introduced to the new, modern building of the Charity Fund's branch, which is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment. This is further evidence of our government's ongoing commitment to ensuring the healthy development of the country's young generation.
A demonstration performance by the Galkynysh National Equestrian Games Group followed.
