Days of Culture of the State of Libya are being held in Ashgabat
On May 1–3, 2025, the Days of Culture of the State of Libya in Turkmenistan are being held in Ashgabat. As part of the opening ceremony, an exhibition was opened at the Museum of Fine Arts of Turkmenistan named after Saparmurat Turkmenbashi the Great, which presented exhibits of Arabic calligraphy, samples of Libyan costumes, books and dishes of national cuisine.
Representatives of the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan and its subordinate institutions, the general public, cultural figures and masters of art of Turkmenistan, faculty and students of a number of higher educational institutions, and the media took part in the opening ceremony of the Days of Culture of Libya.
The speeches emphasized the importance of this creative event in strengthening peace and friendship, enriching cultures and mutual understanding between the two peoples, and expanding humanitarian contacts. The participants of ceremony expressed gratitude to the Leaders of two friendly countries for the opportunity to organize the current event aimed at strengthening ties and filling them with new content.
The opening ceremony featured cultural figures and masters of art of the friendly country. The concert program included folk music and songs, classical and pop music, and dance compositions.
The performances of the artists in magnificent national costumes were met with thunderous applause from the audience and made an unforgettable impression on them.
As part of the Days of Culture of the State of Libya in Turkmenistan, a conference on the “Role of Turkmen Scientists in Revealing the Cultural Development of Humanity and Enriching the Arabic Language and Islamic Education” was also held in Ashgabat.
A cultural program has been prepared for the guests, within the framework of which they got acquainted with the sights of Ashgabat, including the cultural and park complex “Magtymguly Pyragy”, as well as with unique exhibits of the State Museum of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan.
On the final day of the creative event, a joint concert of artists from Turkmenistan and Libya will take place.
