The first Ambassador of Nicaragua to Turkmenistan presented copies of her credentials

On July 1, 2024, at the MFA of Turkmenistan, a meeting was held between the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Myahri Byashimova and the appointed Ambassador of Nicaragua to Turkmenistan (with residence in Ankara) Tatiana Daniella Garcia Silva.

During the meeting, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan congratulated the Ambassador on her appointment to a responsible position and expressed the readiness of the Turkmen side to provide assistance and support in the implementation of her diplomatic activities.

The parties outlined the priority areas of the Turkmen-Nicaraguan agenda, and joint interest in the development of mutually beneficial bilateral dialogue, including in the political, trade and economic spheres, was confirmed. Special attention was paid to the development of basic documents of bilateral partnership.

In the context of interaction through international organizations, in particular the UN, the parties agreed to continue to equally support the initiatives of the countries on international platforms.

To intensify inter-parliamentary partnership, the creation of a Turkmen-Nicaraguan inter-parliamentary friendship group was proposed.

Mutual interest in intensifying joint activities in the fields of culture, sports and tourism was especially noted.
