THE CONFERENCE DEDICATED TO THE MOTTO OF YEAR 2022 “EPOCH OF PEOPLE WITH ARKADAG” WAS HELD

On December 29, 2021, at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, a conference was held dedicated to the motto of 2022 “Epoch of people with Arkadag”. The event was attended by the heads and employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, heads of diplomatic missions of Turkmenistan accredited abroad, teachers and students, as well as representatives of the national media.

Within the framework of the conference, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan R.Meredov, Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to the United Nations A.Atayeva, Executive Secretary of the National Commission for UNESCO of Turkmenistan Ch.Rustemova, Rector of the Institute of International Relations of Turkmenistan J.Gurbangeldiyev, Ambassador of Turkmenistan in Japan G.Elyasov, Ambassador of Turkmenistan in Belarus N.Shagulyev and others made their speeches.

Presentations focused on the results of 2021, the International Year of Peace and Trust, as well as major international events held in Turkmenistan, including Consultative Meeting of the Heads of Central Asian States, the 15th Summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization and the International Conference “Peace and Trust Policy – Basis of International Security, Stability and Development”, which became an important step in promoting regional and international partnership.

As was noted, the year 2022 will be held in Turkmenistan under the motto “Epoch of people with Arkadag”. During the conference, it was emphasized that this motto is a confirmation of the determination of the Turkmen people to continue the strategic course of transformations. In this regard, it was noted in the speeches that these goals in the international sphere will also guide the diplomatic service of Turkmenistan, aimed at fulfilling all tasks and assignments of the President of the country.

As was stated, the agenda for the new year 2022 will be rich and substantial. Turkmenistan is expected to host the most important international events, including the Sixth Caspian Sea States Summit, the Conference of Ministers of Transport of Landlocked Developing Countries, the Inter-parliamentary Forum “Central Asia + Russia” and others.

The speakers agreed on the need to continue the implementation of international initiatives and proposals put forward by our country, and highlighted the special significance of the idea of the Head of State on the formation of the Global Initiative “Dialogue – a guarantee of peace”.

At the end of the event, the participants adopted an Appeal to the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
