Presidents of Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation held a telephone conversation
On 22 September 2024, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin held a telephone conversation.
The Head of the Russian Federation cordially congratulated the President of Turkmenistan on his birthday and wished him good health, prosperity and further success in his responsible state work.
He also noted the great personal contribution of the National Leader of Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty to strengthening bilateral cooperation and asked to convey warm greetings and best wishes to Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
The President of Turkmenistan thanked Vladimir Putin for warm congratulations and good wishes, as well as attention to the development of bilateral cooperation, noting that Turkmenistan attaches great importance to the comprehensive strengthening of ties with the Russian Federation.
It was emphasized that consistent development of strategic partnership with the Russian Federation is one of the priority areas of Turkmenistan’s foreign policy. In this regard, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed confidence in further development and strengthening of Turkmen-Russian relations for the benefit of the peoples of the two countries.
The Heads of State reaffirmed the readiness of Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation for further multilateral cooperation.
During the conversation, President Vladimir Putin invited the President of Turkmenistan to the CIS Heads of State Summit to be held in Russia in October.
Taking the opportunity, the President of Turkmenistan once again thanked the President of the Russian Federation for warm congratulations and good wishes on the occasion of his birthday.
Concluding their conversation, Presidents Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Vladimir Putin wished each other good health, prosperity and success in their responsible state work, as well as well-being and prosperity to the friendly peoples of Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation.
