On June 29, 2026, a telephone conversation took place between the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

The Kazakh leader began by warmly congratulating the National Leader of the Turkmen People on his birthday, wishing him sound health, well-being, and new successes in his crucial state activities. Highlighting the immense contribution of the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan to strengthening Kazakh-Turkmen relations, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev also took the opportunity to convey warm greetings to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

In continuation of the conversation, the interlocutors noted the similarity or closeness of both countries' positions on key issues of the global agenda, which creates a solid foundation for fruitful cooperation and allows for more effective contribution to solving the challenges facing the global community. In this regard, the constructive nature of interaction between Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan within international organizations, primarily the United Nations, was emphasized.

Speaking on this, Hero-Arkadag expressed gratitude to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan for his unwavering support of our country’s neutrality status and international initiatives put forward on the sidelines of the UN and other authoritative bodies.

The trade and economic sphere remains one of the key pillars of bilateral cooperation.
