Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Held a Telephone Conversation with the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan
On June 29, 2026, a telephone conversation took place between the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The Head of Uzbekistan congratulated the Hero-Arkadag on his birthday, wishing him good health, long life, and success in his large-scale activities aimed at the further prosperity of Turkmenistan and the well-being of its people.
Emphasizing Hero-Arkadag’s personal contribution to strengthening the interstate Turkmen-Uzbek dialogue, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev also conveyed warm greetings and best wishes to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
Thanking him for the kind words, the National Leader of the Turkmen people stressed that Turkmenistan attaches great importance to the comprehensive development of brotherly relations and strategic partnership with Uzbekistan.

In this regard, Hero-Arkadag expressed gratitude to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev for his consistent support of Turkmenistan’s foreign policy course, which is based on the principles of neutrality, as well as initiatives put forward within the framework of the United Nations and other authoritative international structures. It was noted that Turkmenistan, for its part, supports the internationally significant initiatives of Uzbekistan.
Touching upon issues of bilateral trade and economic cooperation, the National Leader of the Turkmen people noted with satisfaction that the volumes of mutual trade turnover have been systematically increasing in recent years, the range of goods and services is expanding, and new formats of partnership are taking shape.
