A meeting took place with the UAE Minister of Economy

On June 25, 2024, a meeting was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and the Minister of Economy of the UAE Abdullah bin Touq Al-Marri.

During the meeting, the possibilities of further deepening the established ties were discussed, specific proposals were voiced regarding increasing the volume of trade turnover, expanding and diversifying mutually beneficial economic partnership.

The parties confirmed their mutual commitment to intensify bilateral cooperation in the trade and economic field, with an emphasis on expanding cooperation in the oil and gas and chemical industries, energy, transport and the financial and banking sector.

The interlocutors also noted the productivity of the «Turkmenistan – UAE» business forum, which took place in the first half of this day.

In addition, the parties noted that visits at the highest and high levels are of great importance in the progressive development of the Turkmen-Emirati partnership.
